Grilled Hoisin Pork Chops

1/2 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 walnut-size shallot, minced
1/4 teaspoon minced ginger
4 boneless loin pork chops, each about 1 inch thick
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup chicken broth

Combine marinade ingredients in a medium bowl; mix well. Add pork chops and turn to coat. Let stand for 10 minutes or marinate in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours; turn occasionally in the marinade. Place pork chops onto a grill plate, reserve the marinade. Cook, turning occasionally and basting with marinade, until meat is no longer pink in the center, about 5 min. each side. Combine remaining marinade and broth in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until sauce has thickened slightly, about 3 min. Brush sauce on pork chops and serve.
