To Make Italian Meat Balls: Mix until well blended. Shape into medium-sized balls. Brown meatballs. To brown, put in roaster at 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. Place in marinara sauce that has simmered for 1/2 hour. Let meatballs simmer in sauce for 1/2 hour or until done. The longer they simmer in the sauce the better they will taste. To Make Marinara Sauce: Sauté' onion, garlic, and green pepper in olive oil. Add the spices, salt, cayenne and black pepper, and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add the tomato products and the sugar. Cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. |
