			1/2 cup softened butter 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter 1 cup flour 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/8 teaspoon salt 8 ounces milk chocolate chips
			Cream softened butter until fluffy, add sugars gradually mixing until creamy. Beat in unbeaten egg and mix well. Add peanut butter and mix well. Measure flour, soda and salt and stir thoroughly to blend. Add to peanut butter mixture and mix thoroughly. If adding chocolate chips add to batter now. Drop dough from spoon unto ungreased baking sheet, bake in 375 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.
