Dad's German Spaghetti

2 lbs of lean beef
2 large onions
1 flower garlic
16 oz dried porcini mushrooms
2- 28oz cans of tomato puree
Spaghetti or Angle Hair Pasta

Put the mushrooms in a large bowl and cover with a lot of hot water. Set aside for 45 min to an hour or so & mix the porcini’s every few minutes to get the floaters down. Cut beef in about 1/2 inch squares by 1-1/2 inches in length, add seasoned salt and brown. Pour off liquid (fat) and put in large crock pot or dutch oven. Cut onions into strips and mince garlic then brown. Combine the beef, onions & garlic and with a slotted spoon add the mushrooms. Pour all the water that the mushrooms have been soaking in into the mix being careful not to pour in the dregs on the bottom the bowl. Add the tomato puree, mix well and simmer 6 to 8 hours. Season to taste. Spaghetti of your choice. I like Angel Hair the best.
