In a large bowl, combine the first 7 Ingredients. In anothee large bowl cream shortening, gradually blend in brown and white sugar, mix well. In a small bowl dissolve soda in boiling water then gradually stir in creamed mixture. Add vanilla, eggs and rasins, mix well. Mix in dry ingredients gradually, stir in chips. Form dough into balls on a cookie sheet, flatten with a fork or palm of your hand. Bake in preheated 350 Degrees for 10 minutes. Convection over 330 Degree's for 10 minutes. Make about 8 dozen |
