Yvette's Chili Con Carne

2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1.5 lbs ground beef
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
1 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 cup tomato juice
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup red wine
2 - 15oz cans kidney beans

Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add chopped onions and saute for a few minutes until onions soften. Add ground beef and brown. As beef is browning, add all the spices, ensuring you break the meat apart as it browns. Once meat is browned, add last 4 remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer in the pot for an hour. Eat the same day but even better the following day.
