In a large pot, on medium heat add olive oil and onion, cook unless slightly brown. Add beef and break up as it cooks until beef is browned. Add chili powder, cumin, tomato paste, garlic powder, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper, stir to well combined. Add broth, diced tomatoes with their juice, drained beans and tomato sauce, stir well. Bring to a low boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer chili uncovered for 20-25 minutes, string occasionally. Remove from heat, let chili rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. |
