Uborka salata (cucumber salad)

2 large cucumbers peeled and sliced very very thinly
1/2 tablespoon of salt
1/3 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon of sugar
Sprinkle of paprika
Sour cream (optional)

Peel and slice the cucumbers, sprinkle with the salt and let stand for 1 to 2 hours. Rinse in a colander with cold water, squeezing out the excess liquid. Mix vinegar, water and sugar together, making sure the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour over cucumbers and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Before serving sprinkle with paprika. Can be served with some sour cream if desired.
