12 fat, ripe figs
101/2 oz goat cheese
fragrant honey. for drizzling

Take the cheese and the figs out of the refrigerator an hour before you intend to eat them. Cut the stalky top off the figs, then cut a cross into each fruit. most of the way to the bottom. Squeeze the sides of the figs to open them up. Place two figs on each plate. Put a slice of the goat cheese next to the fruit. then drizzle a generous spoonful of honey over the figs and the cheese.
